experimenting with furniture
My most recent project focused on repurposing an old stool. I repainted the legs and replaced the original fabric. The new fabric was organically dyed with turmeric and the repetitive pattern was created through stamp making. The art was inspired by traditional North African patterns. The colorful nature of the camels represents the merging of my current self with the rich history of my ancestors.

18'' x 24'' punch needle carpet the carpet design was inspired Ghadames, Libya's architecture.
